Michael Paul DeMinico is a Brooklyn based-Director and Producer, specializing in cinematography and editing for short and feature documentaries.
My clients include Netflix, Vineyard Wind, The New England Patriots, The Bangkok Post, Samsung, PUMA, and Devon Halsey.
I offer a lean, personalized approach with expertise in directing, editing, and cinematography, scalable for any project. I have an international upbringing in Thailand and recently moved back to Brooklyn, NY, after four years working as a director in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
As a DP/Director, my run-and-gun filmmaking style allows me to quickly and genuinely connect with subjects, creating a safe space to explore their stories. I am adept at shooting all walks of life and producing in numerous countries, with a firm grasp of the American commercial and independent film landscape.
As an editor, I bring a blend of technical proficiency and efficient time management to ensure every project meets its deadlines without compromising quality.
My debut feature documentary, The Mundo King, captivated audiences at the Lighthouse International Film Festival in June 2019 and reached a wider audience through Amazon Prime and other major VOD platforms in January 2021. Currently, I am working on my second feature documentary, Muay Thai Warrior, about Scottish Muay Thai prodigy Judy Humber, slated for a 2024 release.
